    I believe it is quite crucial that this alliance includes the NUS and that the petition solicits signatures from students.

    The petition should also be directed to government rather than Vice Chancellors. On this matter, students, University governors and the full range of non academic and non-academic staff that comprise Universities have similar stakes.
